Real experiences from Tina’s Pilates community — classes, treatments and the confidence that comes from moving well.
Classes
“I am so pleased to have found Tina’s Pilates classes. After 30 years in a sedentary job and repeated injuries from different sports I felt like a wreck. Each class makes me feel less stiff for at least a couple of days. I wish I’d found this class sooner.”

Mixed Ability
“I have been going to Tina’s Monday Mixed Ability class for 18 months and really benefit from it. Every class is different, always well structured and challenging — which is what I value. We are on strict instructions not to bulge or arch, and Tina explains why we do what we do. All in all my ageing male body is very appreciative. Keep up the good work, Tina.”

Classes & Treatments
“I have been attending Tina’s Pilates classes for over 12 months and only wish I had been doing them for over 20 years. The classes are fun and friendly but also challenging and varied. Tina explains what the exercises are trying to achieve and then spends time correcting posture and technique so we do it correctly. My body strength, posture and balance have improved. I also see Tina in her professional capacity and again wish I had been seeing her for years. Tina is the consummate professional and I highly recommend her classes and treatments.”

Back Pain
“I suffered from acute back pain which came from nowhere and stopped me leading an active life. I was recommended Pilates. I am now truly an ambassador of Tina’s Pilates — the best thing I did. I have learnt about posture, balance and strengthening the core and have managed over 18 months to become pain free and return to the activities I enjoy. The classes are challenging and the results can be life changing if you stick at it. It is a great community and Tina makes everyone feel welcome. No class is the same. Try it — you will not regret it. Above all it is fun.”

Performance & Rehab
“I do a lot of endurance trail running but developed problems in my left side which meant I could barely walk, let alone run. Tina got me mobile again, identified the cause and gave me exercises to eradicate it. She helped me develop a better running style and I joined her class. A couple of months on I ran a 24 hour race unaided and did over 90 miles. Two years on I am still running uninjured but I will not stop doing Pilates now. Tina’s Pilates strengthens every part of you and it feels great being able to use your body how you want. The classes are great fun too.”

Shoulder & Classes
“After struggling with what had been diagnosed as a rotator cuff injury for 18 months, I saw Tina for three sessions. It was tension in my rhomboids and not a cuff issue. Three treatments sorted it completely and I have had no further problems. I have been going to Tina’s Pilates once a week for over a year and it has made a huge difference to my overall fitness. She explains the exercises clearly, checks for any injuries or issues and adjusts accordingly. She gives tailored advice even in a busy group session. I even managed to drag my husband along too.”

Form & Education
“After treatment by Tina for a lower back problem two years ago, I joined her Pilates class. Since then my back and the rest of me has gone from strength to strength. Tina’s focus on form and individual attention is unique. The class is not about reps or who bends furthest. It is about what you and your body can achieve to function properly and safely in everyday life. It is now a cornerstone for the other sports and activities I do.”

Quick Note
“Nothing but praise for Tina. I wish I had started Pilates in my youth. So pleased I found her class.”

Consistency
“Pilates with Tina is the only exercise class I have continued with and learnt from. She is aware of personal challenges and works around them — in my case, a knee issue. Every class is fun, structured, informative and yes, challenging at times.”
– L.B.
Osteopathy & Pilates
“I have been attending Tina’s Pilates sessions for over five years and can highly recommend her. As an osteopath she has detailed knowledge of anatomy and can identify individual weaknesses, giving precise and clear instructions on how to address them. As a long-term sufferer of osteoarthritis in my knee, working with Tina helped me maintain mobility. When I finally went for a knee replacement the surgeon was surprised at how mobile I was given the x-ray. My recovery has been good and I put that down to the work I have done with Tina. Even in a large class she keeps an eye on us to make sure we are doing the exercises correctly. Everyone can work to their own level and exercises can be adapted to suit all abilities.”

Sciatica & Disc
“I have used Tina as an osteopath and attended her Pilates classes. I suffered with sciatica and a bulging disc in my lower back. Tina’s massage and manipulation were very beneficial, and the classes were excellent for strengthening my back and stretching the right places. Tina is warm and welcoming and makes people feel at ease.”

Strength & Energy
“Tina is a fantastic Pilates teacher. Her classes are demanding but very rewarding. The skills she has taught me have strengthened my core, increased my flexibility and improved awareness of my own body. I leave the class feeling revitalised. A perfect start to my day.”
